‘Mirchi Rasta Reporter'
An initiative by Radio Mirchi & CHILDLINE
The Radio Mirchi CHILDLINE Rasta Reporter program is a platform
for 50 community youth and street children to be part of the
update on air regarding the traffic and flood conditions in the
city, for a period of two months for Radio Mirchi !
Three of our partner organizations in Mumbai have identified
these youth. The coordinator of our partner organizations will
oversee their attendance, daily travel allowance and over all
management.
The Reporters will be posted daily in specific parts of the
city and given a specific geographic area to travel in every
day from 8 AM to 8 PM. Each MIRCHI Rasta Reporter will file a
voice report to CHILDLINE Central Call Centre. At the Centre,
the designated Radio Mirchi Rasta Report coordinator, will collate
the reports and provide a voice feed (phone in) to Radio Mirch,
every hour. This will be a bulletin of the situation as reported
by the 35 Rasta Reporters.
