CHILDLINE & MTV > "ON THE JOB 2"

" ON THE JOB 2 " is a programme produced by MTV India that caters mainly to the youth. The show is a platform to introduce today's youth to specialized, upcoming, newer, professions or job opportunities. This time the job was about working in an NGO.

The NGO chosen was CHILDLINE. College youth were auditioned and six were selected to be on this show. After a briefing about CHILDLINE the participants were divided into two groups. Each group was given an assignment to script a "street play" which highlighted the activities of CHILDLINE, how it functions and how it strives to achieve its aim to help children in need of care and protection. The "street play" was enacted at a public mall in Bombay , in front of a live audience. The exciting part..each member of the group that won, will be gifted a laptop and an opportunity to intern at CHILDLINE !!

The two teams will be judged on the basis of the message of the play, its quality and the participant's presentation skills. The panel of judges include Mr . Pritish Nandy (A print and TV veteran), Nikhil Chinnapa (MTV VJ) and Kavita Mohite (CHILDLINE Program Co-ordinator, Advocacy - Mumbai).
