- Forgotten casualties of war, Save the Children Alliance, 2005.
This report shows how girls are being overlooked in current efforts to release children from armed groups and support their return home. It challenges existing systems and argues that the international community must fund programmes designed to meet girls' needs. This means focusing on strengthening communities.

- Helping Children Cope with the Stresses of War: A Manual for Parents and Teachers. UNICEF, 2002.
An essential tool for parents and teachers in helping children cope with the stresses of war and other forms of systematic violence. General guidelines on handling the 'problem behaviours' with which children of various ages respond to stress are also presented. Ten specific problem behaviours ranging from bed-wetting to risk-taking are described, followed by practical advice on how parents and teachers can deal with them.

- The Impact of war on children, UNICEF, 2001.
This publication shows that the impact of armed conflict on children is devastating and total, wounding their bodies and destroying their spirit. Using examples from around the world, this book analyses the special vulnerabilities of children when families and communities are torn apart, schools are destroyed and stability shattered. It demonstrates also how war continues to affect children long after hostilities cease.
