Introduction of CHILDLINE India Foundation by Kabir Bedi

This AV was created by CHILDLINE India Foundation to showcase the actual service. We are a national, 24-hour, free, emergency telephone helpline and outreach service for children in need of care and protection functioning in 83 cities all over India.

The CHILDLINE number 1098 is a toll free number that is common in all the 25 cities of India where we are functioning. Initially started in Mumbai in June 1996, we have been sucessful in linking children to the services they require.

CHILDLINE India Foundation is currently operational in 83 cities/districts in 22 states and 3 union territories through its network of 196 partners across India .

The CHILDLINE service network spread out in the cities where the service has commenced is monitored by CIF through four Regional offices called Regional Resource Centres (RRCs). Located at Delhi , Kolkatta , Chennai and Mumbai
