Pledge Against Child Labour

CHILDLINE Coimbatore organised various programmes to mark the World Day Against Child Labour. The day was packed with events as varied as pledges and rallies meant to sensitize citizens against child labour. The team conducted Pledge at various schools for the children to be aware that they must play a role against child labour. One of the events was at a high school in JJ Nagar, where several children, who used to be deployed as child labour, study.

CHILDLINE team organised a pledge at the Grama Sabha in Malumichampitty. The pledge was administered for villagers who were asked to promise not to recruit children as workers as well as to fight the social evil, she said.
