The CHILDLINE Bangalore volunteers with '1098' badges assisted children who approached them for help and also carried placards displaying the '1098' number for awareness among the parents at Chinnaswamy Stadium during the World cup match. To ensure the safety of children during the World Cup season, CHILDLINE Bangalore team was vigilant to ensure that children do not suffer at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

CHILDLINE Bangalore received calls from anxious parents about their missing children and the children were found. The children were separated from their parents and had exited the stadium from a different gate.

CHILDLINE Bangalore had posted volunteers outside the gates of the stadium. The CHILDLINE volunteers with '1098' badges assisted children who approached them for help. The volunteers also carried placards displaying the '1098' number for awareness among the parents.

In addition, CHILDLINE team visited different schools across the city to make children aware of the number they need to call and whom to approach in case they get separated from their parents at a crowded stadium. The children were specifically instructed to look for people with the '1098' badge to seek assistance if they get lost and added that these precautions are necessary because at a time when child trafficking is a serious threat, parents and caretakers must be as cautious as possible.
