Consultation on Child Protection

CHILDLINE North 24 Parganas organised a "Block level consultation on Child protection" on February 16, 2012 at Conference Hall, Baduria Block. The consultation aimed to sensitise the officials on CHILDLINE 1098, Child Rights & Child protection.

The consultation, aimed at representatives of various governemt departments, child right activists and NGO workers, was attended by Gram panchayat Pradhans, ICDS members, AWW members, ASHA worker, Baduria Block. Biswajit Ghosh, BWO, Baduria welcomed the participants. CHILDLINE Centre coordinator made a presentation on CHILDLINE 1098 & its activities in the district.

Supriya Sarkar, District welfare officer, North 24 Parganas explained different aspects of child rights, role of Juvenile Justice Board and the responsibilities and tasks of the Child Welfare Committee to the participants.
