Guntur »

Childline Se Dosti campaign in Guntur saw the release of Childline Se Dosti poster by Mr. Kantilal Dande, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Guntur.


A day long workshop to sensitize media personnel on Child Rights and Child Protection was also held. The workshop saw over 25 reporters from Print and TV media and news photographers take a day out from their schedule to participate. The chief guest Mr. D. Roshan Kumar, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Guntur addressed the participants. The workshop aimed to sensitise media personnel on child sensitive reporting; how to maintain ethical standards in telling sensitive and taboo stories to protect the rights of children.

Making a difference during the Childline Se Dosti celebrations in Hyderabad was the CHILDLINE Walkathon, an initiative by CHILDLINE Hyderabad in association with Crime Investigation Department (CID), Telanagana to raise awareness on Child Rights and Child Abuse. Ms. Sania Mirza, Indian tennis player and Brand Ambassador for Telangana State flagged off the walkathon in the presence of Mr. Ajay Mishra IAS, Principal Secretary Homes, Telangana State, Mr. Anurag Sharma IAS, DGP, Telangana State.


Over 6,000 college and school students from various Government and Private schools & colleges along people from various walks of life including officials from District Administration, Police Department, Labour Department, CWC and JJB members, NSS & NCC students, Media representatives and CHILDLINE team participated in the CSD walkathon organised as a part of CHILDLINE Se Dosti celebrations.

CHILDLINE Kurnool conducted a mega Suraksha Bandhan campaign with Deputy CM, MLA, Chairperson, Zilla Panchayat, SP, Joint Collector, WCD officials and other allied department officials.

At the School outreach, CHILDLINE team enthralled the young audience with various programmes as a part of Childline Se Dosti celebrations. Team distributed pamphlets, posters, stickers and interacted with them telling about CHILDLINE and administered an oath on Child Rights among students.

Warangal »

On the occassion of Childline Se Dosti, CHILDLINE Warangal organized a health camp focusing on children & women’s health issues. The camp was beneficial to over 800 underprivileged children and women from KGBV Hasanparthy, KGBV Khanapur, Social Welfare School Rayaparthy.


Kodagu »

In a bid to spread the word on CHILDLINE 1098, CHILDLINE Kodagu conducted awareness programmes on 1098 in various schools across Kodagu. Over 50 children had a fun time during the programme to showcase their creativity.


Mysore »


In a bid to reach out on 1098, CHILDLINE Mysore conducted an awareness programme among auto rickshaw drivers in the city. Nearly 700 auto rickshaw drivers took part in the programme. During the interaction, participants were told about CHILDLINE 1098 and how they are an important part of the chain in rescuing children in distress.

CHILDLINE Kozhikode organised a workshop on Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act 2000 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 at Government Law College to discuss the need for effective implementation of POCSO and JJ Act. Mr. Jossy Cherian, Assistant Commissioner of Police addressed the gathering.


Kannur »

CHILDLINE Kannur in collaboration with the District Kudumbasree Mission organised a day long training programme on Child Rights and Law for Balasabha Consultants in Kannur District. The Balasabhas are structured neighbourhood network of children. Each Sabha consist of 15 – 30 children in the age group of 5 – 15 years and aims to prevent inter-generational transmission of poverty through capability enhancement of children. Mr. P. Bala Kiran, District Collector inaugurated the programme. Mr. Mathew Thelliyil, CWC Chairman Kannur, Dr. Ummer Farooq, Member, CWC Kannur handled sessions on various topics on Child Rights and Law. Over 60 participants from various Panchayats across Kannur attended the training. Interestingly, as a part of Childline Se Dosti campaign, the District Collector issued a circular for screening CHILDLINEs Komal films in all schools across Kannur District.

Kanchipuram »

Over 20 media personnel from various local media organisations attended a day long meet organised by CHILDLINE Kanchipuram to get sensitised on different aspects of Child Protection. The team inducted journalists on CHILDLINE, its work and the importance of spreading awareness on 1098.


Pudukottai »


A cultural event was organized by CHILDLINE Pudukottai in which over 50 children enthusiastically presented their talents.

Trichy »

A mass awareness campaign at Trichy Railway Junction was launched by CHILDLINE Trichy to sensitise general public on child rights as a part of Childline Se Dosti celebrations. Mr. Senthil Kuhavesan, Divisional Security Commissioner flagged off the Vaigai Express at Trichy Railway Junction that carried banners and materials stressing the need to protect children and promoting their rights. Other events such as a special programme for HIV-AIDS affected children and awareness sessions to sensitize citizens were held too.
