17. Case of abandoned teenager:
Bhagyashree, 18 years.

Bhgyashree was heading towards an unknown destination in Hyderabad when a doctor in the train spotted her. Bhagyashree was taken to the doctor's home. Here she was provided medical aid and kept for three days. The doctor then notified the local police who contacted Hyderabad CHILDLINE.
During the sessions she revealed that her father had an extra marital affair. He had murdered his wife and was jailed for the crime. But was soon released on bail. Having returned from the jail he began harassing his daughter, as he wanted to get rid of her. In the pretext of taking her to her maternal uncle's place he left her at the railway station. She spent three days at the station before boarding the train to Hyderabad.
Bhgyashree was placed at the shelter home. She had passed class X and was keen on continuing her education. She is presently pursuing her education in a Polytechnic College
